MARTYNA KLUPŚ-RADNY – FLAUTIST

Graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Kraków in the Prof. Zbigniew Kamionka class. Since 2016 is PhD student at the Academy of Music in Krakow. She has participated in master classes conducted by such renowned flautist as Łukasz Długosz, prof. Janos Balint, prof. Jerzy Mrozik, prof. Kazimierz Moszyński, dr Ewa Murawska. Moreover, she took part in chamber music workshop conducted by prof. M. Szwajger- Kułakowska.

She has received numerous awards in national and international contests, including 1st prize at the International Competition for Wind Instruments in Belgrade and 1st prize at the Polish National Contest of Music Interpretations in Krasiczyn. She is a winner of 3rd prize at the Polish National Wind Instruments Competition in Sosnowiec, 1st prize at National Flute Festival in Sochaczew as well as at National Polish Auditions for Woodwind Students of Secondary Music Schools. Martyna won 2nd prize at XI European Competition “Mendelssohn Cup”, Italy and 1st prize at IV International Competition “Giovani Musicisti”. She is a 1st prize winner at V Polish National Interpretation of Music Contest in Krasiczyn and 2nd prize winner at VII National Flute Competition in Wrocław. She won first prize at the International Music Competition in Stockholm and was a finalist of the International Flute Competition in Bucharest. Her achievements in chamber music include the final of the 1st Competition for Duos with Piano in Warsaw, 1st prize for chamber ensembles (trio) at the XII International Julisz Zarebski Music Competition in Izabelin-Łomianki, Warsaw and distinction at XIV International Auditions of Chamber Ensembles in Jawor 2012.

Martyna was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for her musical achievements in 2007-2008. In 2010, she became a beneficiary of the “Young Poland” Scholarship Program, a project of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2012-2013, she received a scholarship from German Jütting Foundation and the scholarship of the Rector of the Academy of Music in Krakow. She is a laureate of the Minister of Science and Higher Education scholarship. She also received an award for being one of the best students from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Martyna worked in various musical projects, such as solo performance at the Adam Mickiewicz University Hall in Poznan and solo recital in cycle “Young music competition winners in Waga”. She has performed with the Philharmonic in Sibiu (Romania) and the Opole Philharmonic. She also collaborated with the Krakow Opera.

In 2014, she recorded a CD with Iwona Popławska – Zimowska titled Flute SonatasThe flautist is also very active in teaching and giving masterclasses.

She perfroms regularly in Poland and has performed in Netherlands, Germany and France. Her wide solo and chamber music repertoire ranges from baroque music to XX century.
